Remote Desktop

Windows Users

1. Ensure you are on the UCSD network (either on campus or logged in to the UCSD VPN).
2. From the Start Menu, search for Remote Desktop Connection

3. Expand the Show Options menu

4. Enter waiter.ucsd.edu into the Computer field.
5. Enter your username into the User name field. Do not append @waiter.ucsd.edu
6. Ensure the Allow me to save credentials checkbox is cleared.

7. Click Connect
8. At the prompt, enter your password.

Connecting for non-VPN users

1. ssh -L 3390:localhost:3389 user@waiter.ucsd.edu
2. RDP to localhost:3390
3. Enter your username into the Username field. Do not append @waiter.ucsd.edu.
4. Enter your password.
