MacOS terminal freezes after running sudo tar xzv -C /usr/local/bin

I did the command previous to sudo tar xzv -C /usr/local/bin when trying to install the application on intel processor. When I tried to run this command, nothing happens. Yes, I did install nrsc-5. No, I do not have an RTL-SDR plugged in when running the command. I do not know if that is an issue.
