RemoteRef[1] hangs indefinitely

As far as I know, the expression is bogus. But I have to Ctrl-C out of it:

julia> RemoteRef()[1]

This is the correct behavior. I defined [] on RemoteRef to assume that the argument refers to some array, and to index the result of fetch on the RemoteRef. The RemoteRef in your example will never be written to, so this will hang forever. Nice that Ctrl-C worked.
It is quite possible that this definition of [] is either unnecessary or a bad idea though.
