Problems
The webpage is really, really, really long in general:

It also contains some redundant/repeated and overly long sections:
- The
CRT marketplaceis nowhere to be found on the main page. There is aCreator tokensection that is outdated that predates the launch of theCRT marketplaceand explains way too much about how creator tokens work in theory instead of just showing theCRT marketplaceitself - The
Joystream Creatorssection is redundant and is repeated in theRecent rewards from the Joystream DAO - The
NFT sectionshows too much information about what an NFT is + also lacks a link to the CRT marketplace itself - The
Builders Grant Programneeds to be removed as it is no longer relevant (from my understanding) - The
ecosystemsection is too long and should become a separate section
1. Solutions (CRT)
- The DAO is going to hopefully putting a giant amount of effort and investment into the CRT marketplace, it should be front and center on the website and needs to communicate that creators are getting rewards + that users/viewers can participate in them.
- I kind of feel like they should be above
Growth and engagementalso, since they will be telling a more interesting reactive and interactive story to users and creators - Ideally the CRT carousel would showcase the revenue of channels + marketcap etc. It should ideally be clear that the DAO is paying these rewards/revenue to creators so that it doesn't need to be re-explained anywhere else.
- It should include a link to the
CRT marketplacesection of Gleev - There is a giant section down the bottom of the page explaining "Creator Tokens"--this section is huge and has screenshots etc and I think predates the actual CRT feature launch. I think this feature could be removed entirely because a CRT carousel/leaderboard that is effective in showing both users and creators that they can "jump in" and get involved with investing in channels tells a compelling experience--I do not think they need to understand all of the finer details about vesting schedules and such.
2. Solutions (Joystream Creators)
- There is a "Joystream Creators" carousel which I think isn't very interesting. I think it could be replaced entirely by a CRT carousel or compact leaderboard or something similar because it is more interesting (there could also be a "buy now" or "click to explore"
- There is another section down the page that is basically a duplicate of this called
Recent rewards from the Joystream DAO--this should also be removed entirely.
3. Solutions (NFT)
- There is also a section showcasing the NFT marketplace which sadly doesn't currently get a significant amount of activity.
- This includes a giant section that explains all the various auction types that are available--I feel that this part could be removed almost entirely because most web3 people would already know what NFTs are.
- Maybe some active auctions could be added here to make it a bit more exciting? It definitely should be below any CRT section though.
4. Solutions (Builders Grant Program)
- I have asked about this in some meeting some time ago and I believe the response was that no one ever signed up for it. I kind of think it can be removed entirely at this point?
5. Solutions (Ecosystem)
- We unfortunately do not have any non-Gleev apps and it does not seem like they will be a priority for the DAO in the near/medium-term future. The design of Gleev itself seems to be going towards creating
video communitiesso it is unclear what the demand will even be for non-Gleev apps given that. - It is customary on most web3 projects that I have visited that the ecosystem page is a separate thing. This section is really large so I think it could be made into its own section--this would probably add too many buttons though and perhaps the
Handbookbutton could be removed in its place - It is also customary that the ecosystem includes things like wallets and exchanges, these could be added to the ecosystem page
