* feat(chat): Ctrl+R history search Prompt recall + full-text conversation search over pi's session files, like Claude Code's Ctrl+R. A lazy in-memory index backs history.search (protocol v9), scoped chat → workspace → project → everywhere. The overlay (Ctrl+R, or the composer's history button): zoomed two-pane preview, scope picker, assistant-only message hits, and jumpable prompt rows (⇧⏎ → scroll + flash the anchored turn, cross-workspace). Plain ↑/↓ recalls this chat's own prompts. Wire: history.search (v9); web: HistoryOverlay + useHistorySearch + jump anchors. Rebased on main (pi 0.81). e2e: 63 no-agent specs green. * fix(history): resolve the active transcript; exclude nudges; clamp + non-block index Address PR #109 review (server + contracts): - #1 index via pi's parse/migrate/buildSessionContext (leaf-resolved, compaction-aware) so messageIndex matches the hydrated transcript; abandoned branches and summarized-away text no longer surface. Branch + compaction tests. - #6 skip the internal [thinkrail:todo-nudge] control message after its index slot is consumed; marker promoted to @thinkrail/contracts (shared by web + host). - #9 warm revalidation runs in the background (a search never blocks on the full-corpus re-parse); (mtime,size) change detection catches same-tick appends; the background refresh swallows its own errors (in-process host); indexing is reported while a refresh is in flight so the client converges (read-your-writes). - #10 clamp the client limit + query length at the handler and in search(). - #11 drop the disk-writing test helpers from the production history barrel; expose them via the @thinkrail/server/history-test-fixtures subpath instead. * fix(history): atomic cross-project jump, honest deps, newest-match, clear stale results Address PR #109 review (web overlay + jump): - #3 carry projectId in ChatLocationRequest; requestChatLocation activates project+workspace atomically (the invariant activateWorkspace upholds); openMessage loads the destination project's workspaces first when unopened, so a cross-project jump can't leave the workspace unresolvable. - #4 remove the forbidden biome-ignore in HistoryOverlay: a memoized selectedKey the scroll effect actually consumes makes the dependency list honestly exact. - #5 fall back to the newest anchorText match (findLast, not find), matching dedup's keep-newest so a repeated prompt jumps to its latest occurrence. - #2 clear the stale result on every query/scope change so Enter/Ctrl+Enter/click can't act on a hit that no longer matches the visible query. * fix(composer): reset recall on programmatic insert; unify history-open Address PR #109 review (composer): - #7 one replaceDraft() helper sets value + caret and clears recallIdx; insert (Ctrl+R), mention, and slash all route through it, so a later ArrowDown can no longer overwrite a freshly inserted prompt. - #8 one openHistory() dismisses any open mention/slash menu before opening the overlay, for both the Ctrl+R chord and the history button. * fix(history): drop listAll from the index path; full-text hits (Air review) Two blocking findings from the Air automation review: - historyIndex enumerates session files itself (async readdir/stat over pi's pinned discovery layout, root via pi's exported getAgentDir()) instead of SessionManager.listAll(), which reads and JSON-parses every session in full just to list it. An unchanged corpus now revalidates for a readdir walk plus one stat per file; only new/changed files are read (once, async) and re-parsed, with an await at every file boundary so the walk never starves the event loop live sessions share. Session identity (id/cwd/title) comes from the same single parse (extract.ts's extractSession, which applies pi's own header rejection rule and latest-session_info title rule). - extract no longer truncates entry text (MAX_SEARCHABLE removed): a hit's text is what recall inserts and what the overlay presents as the whole prompt, so long pasted-log prompts round-trip in full and terms past the old 4k cutoff are searchable. The memory precedent is pi itself, whose SessionInfo.allMessagesText holds every session's full text in memory. * fix(composer): route the overlay's insert-and-send through the composer's own submit seam (Air review) The history overlay's Cmd/Ctrl+Enter called ChatView's onSubmit directly with an empty image list, so pending image attachments were silently dropped from the send and their stale thumbnails stayed attached to the next message. ComposerHandle gains insertAndSubmit(text, behavior): it lands on the same submitText seam as the composer's own send gestures, so images travel with the text and are cleared with the draft atomically, whichever side initiated the send. The e2e regression taps the client WebSocket and asserts the session.prompt frame really carries the pasted image, plus the cleared thumbnail strip.
