I installed l4d2 manual director to spawn special infected with my friends, but everytime i do theres a message where the bot "joins" the game, i searched and found that the command mandirector_notify_spawn 0 disables that notification, but in my game it doesnt recognize it as an actual command, I dont know if im in the wrong version or if there is a mistake with the new file (1.2)

mandirector_notify_spawn isn't really a "command", it's a cvar. You can change cvars in the server console like that mandirector_notify_spawn 0 but in game / in chat you have to use sm_cvar command to change them such as /cvar mandirector_notify_spawn 0.

If you seeing other join messages for ManualDirectorBot, that's a separate issue.

thats helpful, but now i have another issue... it doesnt recognize mandirector_notify_spawn 0 as an cvar, I think im spelling it wrong?

Ah, yeah sorry, I must have changed something, it's mandirector_announce_level but it defaults to 0, so unless you changed it in the config file, it shouldn't show.

That's another plugin that is doing that. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that.

For the manual director plugin to spawn specials past the normal limit, it does a trick of spawning a bot (ManualDirectorBot) then kicking it.

That join message plugin has to be designed to ignore those bots

So its basically impossible to not show that message since its very much required for that message to pop up?

You have some other plugin that is sending that message that the bot joined, that's not a built in feature in game or my plugin.

But it is correct that the event of the bot joining is required
