eWallet

GraphQL and WSO2 API Manager Based eWallet Application.

With this application, users can sign in with their Google account and create an eWallet, which can be used to manage their expenses and incomes as well as to analyze their transaction history.

Setup:

1. Clone the repository Clone the repository using the following command.

git clone https://github.com/Irash-Perera/eWallet-WSO2API-GraphQL.git

2. Install the dependencies Navigate to the project directory and install the dependencies in the client and server directories.

npm install

3. Set up the environment variables

• Go to MongoDB Atlas and create a new cluster and get the connection string. Create a .env file in the server directory and add the connection string as follows.

DATABASE_URI="mongodb+srv://xxxxxxxxxxxxx

• Go to Google Cloud Console and create a new project and get the OAuth client ID. Paste the client ID in the /frontend/main.jsx file in the GoogleOAuthProvider component.

• Download the WSO2 API Manager and start the server. To start the server locally follow the instructions in the following Quick Start Guide.

• After starting the WSO2 API Manager, navigate to the https://localhost:9443/publisher and create a new API.

-Then select Import GraphQL SDL under GraphQL and import the schema.graphql file in the server directory.

• After importing the schema, enter the API details and create the API. From now on, follow the instructions in the WSO2 API Manager Quick Start Guide to publish the API.

• After pubishing the API, copy the API endpoint and paste it in the frontend/main.jsx file to connect Apollo Client to the GraphQL API.

• Replace the authorization header with the actual token generated by the WSO2 API Manager.

• Refer the Apollo Client Documentation for more information on how to connect Apollo Client to a GraphQL API.

4. Run the application

• Navigate to the project directory and run the following command to start the server.

npm start

• Navigate to the client directory and run the following command to start the client.

npm run dev

5. Access the application

• Open the browser and navigate to http://localhost:<PORT> to access the application. <PORT> is the port number where the client is running.
