Since 2008 the WiFi Pineapple has been a favorite amongst hackers, penetration testers and security enthusiasts. With a talented community of developers this open-source wireless auditing tool brings ease-of-use to man-in-the-middle. Now in its fourth hardware version the WiFi Pineapple boasts unmatched performance, simplicity and value.

The Hardware

The Mark IV WiFi Pineapple sports a 400Mhz Atheros AR9331 SoC, 802.11 b/g/n 150Mbps with 2x Ethernet ports, one with Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE) aswell as a USB 2.0 port for expanded storage, secondory radios and even 3G/4G Mobile Broadband.

The Software

The WiFi Pineapple Mark IV runs the fast Linux 3.2-based kernel built on top of OpenWRT with Digininjas Karma patches. The Mark IV firmware is always in active development and with modules available through the WiFi Pineapple web UI the firmware is always getting better.
