Multi-band tiff files are not supported by python image library

IHME rasters sometimes have multiple bands. These files are tiff data archives and aren't useable as tiff images.

Up to now I've been using other software to separate the bands into multiple single-band image files, but we ought to have a better solution.

Requires GDAL and I'm using pixi to handle the environment.
