Welcome to the EventHorizon wiki! Here you should be able to find just about everything you want to know about EventHorizon. If there's something that isn't here that should be, feel free to open an issue!
There are two paths to getting started with EventHorizon: a quick and dirty way and a more "secure" but difficult way.
Warning
EventHorizon is not compatible with all Windows versions. So far, I have only tested it with:
- Windows 11 24H2
- Windows 10 22H2
Use at your own risk!
To get started as quickly as possible, simply go to the releases tab in the main Github repository. There, download the EventHorizon.msi file from the latest release. Then, follow the installation instructions.
If you encounter issues with an expired certificate from the release, use the alternative installation method (see below).
If you're interested in a more "secure" deployment of EventHorizon, then you'll have to follow a more difficult route.
- Download the latest source code either from the latest release
- Open PowerShell and navigate to the root of the project
- Open the
generate_cert.ps1script and change the$passwordvariable at the top of the script and change it - Run the
generate_cert.ps1script (no arguments)
- Open the
common\Scripts\sign_file.ps1script and change the$passwordvariable at the top of the script to the same as before - Open the EventHorizon project in Visual Studio
- Right click on the
EventHorizonproject and selectBuildwhich will build the installer
- Wait for build to complete, then navigate to
\bin\x64\Releasefrom the root of the project and there should beEventHorizon.msiwhich contains everything you need to install EventHorizon - Now, simply follow the installation instructions
