terminal rapid flickering when used with vs code terminal

Description

when i use tui in vs code on m4 mac mini, the terminal content rapidly flickers. does not flicker on m4 macbook air. does not flicker in terminal app. does not happen in vs code terminal for claude, codex, gemini CLIs. installed using both hbrew and npm

Steps to reproduce

1. open vs code project
2. toggle terminal panel
3. run command: deepseek --model auto

Expected behavior

should work without flickering

  deepseek (npm wrapper) v0.8.25

Fixed in v0.8.27 (releasing shortly).

The viewport-reset sequence emitted on TurnComplete / focus-gain / resize was double-clearing the screen (raw \x1b[2J\x1b[3J immediately followed by ratatui's own terminal.clear()), which Ghostty, the VSCode integrated terminal, and Win10 conhost render as visible flicker. v0.8.27 drops the destructive part; the alt-screen buffer's double-buffering plus ratatui's diff renderer handle the repaint cleanly. Terminals that were already flicker-free (macOS Terminal.app, iTerm2, alacritty) remain so.

Once v0.8.27 ships, please update with one of:

• npm: npm install -g deepseek-tui@latest
• brew: brew upgrade deepseek-tui
• cargo: cargo install --force deepseek-tui-cli

Reopen if you still see flicker after upgrading. Thanks for the report!
