Hammerbyte is an independent software studio based in Germany, working primarily on e-commerce tooling, backend systems, and developer-focused solutions — with a strong focus on maintainability, performance, and pragmatic design.

Our work usually falls into one of these areas:

• Shopware plugins & extensions
  Practical enhancements for real merchant needs — analytics, rules, automation, and UX improvements.

• Backend & API-driven systems
  Clean domain logic, predictable behavior, testable codebases.

• Internal tools & experiments
  Smaller projects, proofs of concept, and infrastructure experiments that may later evolve into products.

We prefer boring, reliable technology over hype — and ship when things are solid.

Some of our projects are public on purpose:

• to share reusable solutions
• to document approaches we stand behind
• to give insight into how we structure and think about software

Public repositories are usually stable, opinionated, and intentionally scoped.

• Less, but better
• Explicit over implicit
• Configuration beats hardcoding
• Business logic is sacred
• Code should be readable six months later — by someone else
