[ALSA UCM Error] When using the Mix2 Firmware

Pipewire 1.4.1 added checking to ensure the alsa-ucm-conf matched the device, but users running the Mix2 firmware will see this error.

There's currently a draft fix for this in UCM, but it depends on the release of the Syntax 8 protocol (currently slated for 1.2.15).

In the meantime, if you're running into this error, follow these instructions:

• Open (as root) /usr/share/alsa/ucm2/USB-Audio/GoXLR/GoXLR.conf
• On Line 3, Change CaptureChannels 23 to CaptureChannels 25
• Save and Exit

Once done, unplug your GoXLR from USB, then plug it back in again.

The Mix 2 Channel should appear, and you should no longer see any errors.

Is there any way to fix this on immutable OSes like Bazzite? Even with sudo privileges, GoXLR.conf is read only and will not let me make changes

Not easily, the channels should work fine despite the 'Error' you'll just be missing Mix2.
