Linux: Key-Command-Actions-Test Branch Needs a Linux Assist #47

Description

@FunkybotsEvilTwin

If a Linux developer happens to stumble across this, there's an active branch called "Key-Command-Actions-Test" that contains the ability to send up, down, left, right, enter, and escape key commands to the focused window in Reaper. There's only one catch: I don't know how to get this going on Linux, and from what I've researched, it may make a difference whether it's a Wayland or X11 distro.

I'll keep the branch up, but if a Linux developer happens upon this and can figure out how to get that feature working, it would be much appreciated. I don't want to push any code that isn't working on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

What I need help with:

  • X11 & Wayland code, including
  • Handling fallback when on Wayland vs. X11 and vice versa

Code or Guidance on updating:

  • CMake
