When trying to materialize a unit, after selecting and pressing the left side card or the big button under it, it could be more obvious that the player must click on a location nearby in order to confirm the unit's position.

Perhaps changing to different type of hexagons (smaller, dashed and spaced out) that could even be animated pulsated could attract the player's attention to hover the area nearby the active Dark Priest.

Restarting a game later on, everything worked as intended, but earlier there were no errors or anything, the initial characters didn't even render on the map.

Hmm, understood @ktiedt . Maybe it was a cache issue. I sometimes have an issue when the background image is not displayed at all. So I take it that once you seen the characters, materializing was a breeze...

Well, w/o the initial characters loading on the map, materializing didnt seem to work at all -- didnt get prompted to place anything it just appeared to do nothing.
