Description
Description
Node-RED AI Features are well documented already in https://flowfuse.com/docs/user/expert/#flowfuse-expert but the chat interface and capabilities are not (they are left for user to explore and find out)
Summit has stated there should be reference docs he can link to in his articles.
Suggested topics
- Modes "Support" (i.e. flow building assistance) vs "Insights" (i.e. users gaining insights from their MCP tools and resources)
- Immersive mode + context
- Palette Context (useful for the AI to determine if nodes are installed or check latest version etc)
- Flow Context (for the AI to interrogate flows)
- Debug Log Context (coming soon see Add support for Debug Log Context nr-assistant#137) - ability for AI to interrogate logs
- Maybe include some tips to help users structure queries?
- e.g. "what does this mean" ❌ "What does this log entry mean" ✅
- e.g. "Why did this happen" ❌ vs "Why did this error log occur" ✅
- e.g. "This doesnt work" ❌ vs "My flow outputs should be a string but it is a number" ✅
- e.g. "Is it up to date?" ❌ vs "Is my palette up to date?" ✅
We may want to think about a slight restructure to separate the Expert Chat interface and capabilities from the Node-RED side (i.e. code completions, flow explainer)
