Adds support for any resolutions to Nioh 2: Complete Edition on PC (UI isn't perfectly scaled).

  1. Download the latest release of Nioh2Resolution.
  2. Save the content of the archive to the root of the Nioh 2: Complete Edition game-directory (Defaults to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Nioh2 for Steam installs) (you can delete it later on)
  3. Run Nioh2Resolution.exe and follow the instructions.
  4. Start the game and set the resolution to the specified one (if that is not shown in the game menu, set it in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\KoeiTecmo\NIOH2\config.xml)
  5. Restart the game as there seems to be a bug that breaks the brightness (and UI scaling) if you change resolution after startup.

Note that differently from the original patch for the first game, UI scaling isn't perfect yet.
Anything wider than 21:9 should work decently, especially because the FOV scaling is Horizontal+, but some UI anchoring will be wrong and some other won't be scaled correctly. Loading screens and cutscenes seem fine.
EXPRERIMENTAL: When less wide than 16:9 (e.g. 16:10, 4:3) this patch can scale the UI as it would remain anchored around 16:9 and some elements would not be visible. Scaling it should not cause any stretching. Note that some menus might look worse, but in game UI will be better.
Alternatively it can calculate the 16:9 resolution that exactly fits your (16:10, 4:3, ...) screen, so you can just play the game in borderless with a black background behind it.

It's possible to stretch the UI at aspect ratios wider than 21:9 but I didn't feel like it was needed, as it would mainly just look worse.
If you want a higher resolution than your monitor, just select that and then set Nioh 2 to use fullscreen, it will stretch the window to fill your screen, whether smaller or bigger. This is untested and not the main reason for this mod to exist. Edit: users has reported that this doesn't work anymore from 1.25.1.0.
If you are having trouble changing your resolution in game, google for how to fix it, it might be related to DPI.

Patch works on Version 1.27.
Note that it needs to be re-applied after every game update (unless the update didn't change the exe).
V4 is marked as a false positive by many anti viruses, you can build from source if you don't trust me.

Bugs not caused by this mod:
-Game exposure breaking after changing resolution in the game menu
-UI scaling breaking after changing resolution in the game menu
-UI anchoring shifting after reload, cutscene or other events (it happens at widescreen 1440p on the unpatched game as well, it's just less noticeable, see here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1325200/discussions/0/3115898713388183673/) (I managed to fix the problem in the gameplay UI, but it breaks the mission selection map UI so I can't publish it)
