Crypto Notes

Crypto Notes is a lightweight HarmonyOS wearable app that demonstrates secure note journaling with encryption, decryption, and integrity verification using the HarmonyOS Crypto Framework. Users can create notes, save them in encrypted form, and open the journal to decrypt and verify each entry.

This project showcases secure state management, per-note IV handling, HMAC integrity checks, and wearable-first navigation on HarmonyOS devices.

Use Cases

  • Secure Notes: Users can write personal notes and save them in encrypted form.
  • Encryption + Integrity: Uses AES encryption and HMAC-SHA256 verification for note protection.
  • Compose and Journal Flow: Home page navigation to create notes and review encrypted history.
  • On-Demand Decryption: Tapping a journal item decrypts content and shows integrity status.
  • Resource-Driven UI: Colors and user-visible strings are moved into resource files for maintainability.
