FastMCP takes no version argument, so serverInfo.version carried the mcp library's own version (1.30.0 in everos-mcp 0.1.0). Set it on the low-level server from __version__. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Summary
initializereturnedserverInfo.version = "1.30.0"— themcplibrary's version, not ours (0.1.0). FastMCP has noversionargument, so the low-level server fell back toimportlib.metadata.version("mcp"). This sets it fromeveros_mcp.__version__, so clients and logs show the real server version.Found by installing 0.1.0 from PyPI and listing tools over stdio.
Test plan
test_handshake_reports_package_version; fails without the fix ('1.30.0' == '0.1.0'), passes with itNo release needed on its own; ships with the next version.
