Search name in entire repository hangs if start search with "i"

In large repository "Search name in entire repository" menu hangs if searching name starting with "i". This happens because "i" is frequent variable name. Indexed repository may contain over 10000 variables with name "i".

Tried straightforward solutions:

• limit loaded tags to 1500 on low level. This cannot be used because entire range of found tags must be sorted and best fit tags may appear outside the limit
• limit search filter len to 3. But what if user searches 2 or 1 character long names?

What if combine two solutions: limit loaded tags to 1500 for 3 character long filters?

Issue is fixed, however "(and more...)" message is displayed incorrectly if at least one permanent repository loaded. Currently there is no way to determine whether search threshold was reached.
