customizing tpots operators and parameters (config_dict)

Hi,

In newer versions of TPOT there is no config_dict parameter to configure the search space. Is there another way to limit the search space only with selected set of algorithms?

yes there is.

The tutorial folders contains jupyternotebooks with examples, https://github.com/EpistasisLab/tpot/tree/main/Tutorial .
I recommend going through 1 and 2 to learn the new API. The next few provide some examples.

There is some documentation under "search spaces" on this page: https://epistasislab.github.io/tpot/latest/documentation/tpot/search_spaces/base/ but it is not completed yet. The tutorials should have enough information though.

Alternatively, it is possible to pass in an Old TPOT configuration dictionary (from the previous version of TPOT) and convert it to the new API. More information can be found here: https://epistasislab.github.io/tpot/latest/documentation/tpot/old_config_utils/old_config_utils/
