Amazon Clone

Welcome to the Amazon Clone project! This is a web application that replicates some of the key features of Amazon, including authentication, shopping cart functionality, checkout page, and orders page. The project also integrates with Strapi for payment processing.

Features

Authentication

• Users can sign up for an account.
• Users can log in with their credentials.
• Authentication is handled securely using Firebase Authentication.

Shopping Cart

• Users can browse through a catalog of products.
• Users can add products to their shopping cart.
• Users can remove products from their shopping cart.
• The shopping cart updates in real-time as users add or remove items.

Checkout Page

• Users can review the items in their shopping cart.
• Users can proceed to the checkout page to enter shipping and payment information.
• The checkout page provides a summary of the order before finalizing the purchase.

Orders Page

• Users can view their order history.
• Users can track the status of their orders.
• Order details include product information, quantity, price, and shipping details.

Strapi Integration for Payment

• Strapi is used as a backend service for handling payment processing.
• Users can securely make payments using various payment methods supported by Strapi.
• Payment transactions are processed securely and reliably.

Technologies Used

• React.js: Frontend JavaScript library for building user interfaces.
• Firebase Authentication: Securely handle user authentication.
• Strapi: Open-source headless CMS for managing content and handling payments.

Installation

To run the Amazon Clone project locally, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/ElsayedAbdullah/amazon-clone.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

cd amazon-clone

3. Install dependencies:

npm install

4. Configure Firebase:

   • Create a Firebase project in the Firebase Console.
   • Set up Firebase Authentication and obtain your Firebase configuration.
   • Update the Firebase configuration in the project.

5. Configure Strapi:

   • Install and set up Strapi on your local machine or a remote server.
   • Configure payment methods and endpoints in Strapi.

6. Start the development server:

npm start

7. Access the application in your web browser:

http://localhost:3000

Deployment

The Amazon Clone project can be deployed to various hosting platforms such as Firebase Hosting, Netlify, or Vercel. Follow the platform-specific deployment instructions to deploy your application to production.
