Calibration

We need to decide how to store calibration parameters for the following module

• DAC
• ADC
• RTD
• TC

After finalizing our product development, we will implement the manufacturing process where each edgepi device will be calibrated using proper measurement tools. After calibration, we should store the calibration parameters somewhere in the device to use them when SDK modules are instantiated.

ah, I forgot about the EEPROM lol. This means we need a private helper class/function to read the EEPROM values

We should document for each module what calibration parameters are needed. Also, to make sure I understand, the values for calibration will be stored in EEPROM during manufacturing, and then we read them as needed for the SDK?

Things required by the calibration module

• helper function/class for importing values
• dataclass / dictionary / list / enums for storing calibration parameter
• EEPROM class will read write to memory address provided. The calibration parameter for each module will be read during the object initialization and saved during the runtime.
  • ADC Calibration parameter read #112

  • TC Calibration parameter read #113
  • RTD calibration parameter read
• Calibration class: this includes helper functions to generate calibration parameters. After the calibration parameters are generated, it should be saved in the EEPROM.
  • check module being calibrated
  • set output, store expected and actual measurements, set number of points
  • Add Calibrartion LSR (least square regression) algorithm
  • Add helper class to prepare variables for the LSR
