What does this PR do?

Add Resources

For resources

Description

  • The manual from the Deno homepage
  • Flaviocopes Deno Handbook

Why is this valuable (or not)

They provide an excellent baseline for people first hearing about, or interested in, Deno. Flaviocopes also offers a free PDF with optional email registration.

How do we know it's really free?

I tested both myself. The flaviocopes pdf can be linked directly, but I didn't do that because it doesn't seem like that is allowed for this particular format.

For book lists, is it a book?

Yes they best fall under the book category in section 3 of CONTRIBUTING.md

Checklist:

  • [ x ] Not a duplicate
  • [ x ] Included author(s) if appropriate
  • [ x ] Lists are in alphabetical order
  • [ x ] Needed indications added (PDF, access notes, under construction)

We discourage "free with registration" links unless it is felt that

  1. the resource is very worthwhile
  2. the resource is not likely to go away in a year - it's hard for us to check!

I understand, but I probably didn't phrase it well. The content is free on the webpage, but you can get a pdf of it if you click on the left sidebar and register an email.
