Unable to login to Thingiverse

I'm finding that I am unable to login to thingiverse.

I successfully authenticate, then I am redirected to this page where I am prompted to authorize pubman to access my thingiverse account.
When I click accept, It redirects me to the homepage of pubman. Closing the window aborts the login process.

This looks like I have misconfigured the callback url in the thingiverse app. It should be something like pubman://logintothingiverse and then the app can watch for that protocol in the popup window.

Out of curiosity, if you Ctrl+R (refresh window) does it show you as logged in?

While investigating this, I realized that Thingiverse logout doesn't work as expect either and that had been masking the login problem from me in my own testing.

As for login, I've updated the Thingiverse OAuth application config on the Thingiverse end, so we shouldn't be redirected to https://drawnto.digital/pubman/ anymore.

But there is still an issue with Thingiverse login. When the user first authenticates, instead of routing to our redirect_uri it takes the user to the thingiverse homepage. If you close the popup and attempt to login again, it goes straight to our redirect_uri and gets its auth token as expected.

Very odd. I'll take this up with Thingiverse support.

In the meantime, the workaround will be to attempt to login twice and it should work on the second attempt.

Some updates on Thingiverse authentication:

1. logout of Thingiverse is fixed as of v2025.6-alpha
2. login will work on the second attempt, but I'm still waiting for guidance from Thingiverse support on why it's taking users to Thingiverse homepage, instead of continuing the auth flow, on the first attempt.
