Describe the new feature
To be clear, the feature being suggested here is not to allow installation/updates to existing extensions.
However, it would be great to be able to have extensions for browsers checked to see if any are out-of-date, when X browser hasn't been launched in a while (extensions don't update unless X browser gets launched to check for updates).
* X = Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.
Describe how this new feature could help users.
While extensions not being updated don't pose an initial threat, it's nice to have a single place to see if everything is up-to-date (especially if X browser hasn't been launched in a long time to update the extensions on it)
If you think this is a good idea, I can work on a PoC script that grabs extension data only for installed browsers (I've been working on a script already that audits extensions for all browsers, installed or portable, so it's not much work for me to do).
