"Delete duplicates": Findings marked as "Duplicate" are not deleted when "Max Duplicates" is set to 0 #12123

Hi DefectDojo Team,

We've encountered an issue regarding the duplicate handling mechanism.

Expected Behavior:
We understand that when the "Delete duplicates" option is enabled for a product/engagement, and the "Max Duplicates" setting is configured to 0, any finding that is identified and marked with the status "Duplicate" should be automatically deleted from the system.

Actual Behavior:
Despite having "Delete duplicates" enabled and "Max Duplicates" set to 0, we observe that findings previously or newly marked with the status "Duplicate" are not being deleted. They persist within the product/engagement.

Question:
Is our understanding of the interaction between "Delete duplicates" and "Max Duplicates = 0" correct? We expected this configuration to actively remove findings once they are flagged as duplicates, but this doesn't seem to be happening.
