Additional Context
-
My understanding is brew expects a public repo at: https://github.com/deepl/homebrew-tap either this repo doesn't exist or is private.
-
fb2ca2d / e08225a / docs: retarget all install instructions to @deepl/cli and document Homebrew #100 may have prematurely documented the install method that was never added
-
At some point there was a warning about it not working but this was also prematurely removed:
Line 76 in 3559742
| _Not available yet — the tap ships shortly after the first npm release. Use npm in the meantime._ |
- docs: stop instructing readers to npm install the unpublished package #70 raises similar issues about broken npm install instructions
Workaround
- As a workaround I was able to clone and install from source without issue so at a guess the only missing step is the packaging.
