manticoresearch (https://manticoresearch.com) or sphinxsearch (https://sphinxsearch.com/) use mysql41 connection protocol.

Currently i'm getting
Server error: `ERROR 42000 (1064): P01: syntax error, unexpected @@sysvar near '@@version_comment);''

Can we disable additional commands on connection and specify manually mysql version?

It will be nice to migrate fully from TablePlus to Dateflare but for this database i still need use TablePlus.

When testing a MySQL connection, the statement ⁠SELECT CONCAT('v', VERSION(), ' ', @@version_comment); is executed.
Although Manticore Search is wire-compatible with MySQL, its SQL dialect is not compatible, which is why you see this error.

While both use the same protocol, their SQL syntaxes diverge significantly, so most features appear broken (you can still run SQL queries in the editor, and they should work).

In the just-released Dataflare v2.9.5 we added a dedicated ⁠Manticore Search connection. You can now access your Manticore Search database through it; under the hood it still uses the MySQL driver, but we’ve added SQL-level adaptations.

SphinxSearch has not been tested yet, but it should work.
