Benchmarks: No need to guard against unhandled promise rejections

What does this PR do?

Removes try-catch block around async functions in main benchmarking scripts as the version of Node.js we're using now exits with a non-zero exit code when a promise rejection isn't handled.

Motivation

• Code cleanup
• Makes the reported error message in CI in case of an unhandled promise rejection better.
