What is Truthpedia

Overview

Truthpedia is an engaging and educational party game that challenges players to separate fact from AI-generated fiction. In each round, players are presented with three seemingly legitimate Wikipedia-style articles, but here's the catch: two are real Wikipedia entries, and one is a convincing AI-generated fake.

Gameflow

1. Greet the user and ask for his/her name to make it mor personal
2. Give some basic instructions into the game (whats this game about)
3. Ask how many rounds the user want to play or hardcode it ("How many rounds do you want to play? (5) ") or roll a dice for round number
4. List i.e. 3 random categories (common ones) out of 20? (that we will choose) to choose from, if the user is unhappy, he can search or reroll for category(s)
5. The user is displayed 3 different article summery (with a max len. of 6? sentence) of the selected category, where 2 are true wikipedia articles and one is a false one
6. User has to choose, which one is false. User has only one chance to guess the right one.
7. After submitting his choice the user is shown if he's correct or not
8. Ask the user if he want to play another round (if yes, jump to 3)

2. At the end a summary is displayed to inform the user how bad he was ;)

Fetch Wikipedia

• Function wich fetches Wikipedia summaries

• Create a predefined list of true and false entries (title and sumary)
• Randomly select 2 true and 1 false from the json file

Menu/Setup

• Greet the player and ask for name.
• Show instructions for the game.
• Ask number of rounds (default / random).
• Display 3 random categories and allow reroll/custom search.

Gameloop
PART 1

• Shuffle and display the 3 article summaries each round.
• Get user input for which article is fake.
• Show correct/incorrect .

PART 2

• Track user score.
• Track rounds played.
• Update score each round.
• End game after chosen number of rounds.
