Sponsored transition from livesim1 to livesim2

DASH-IF sponsored Eyevinn Technology to develop livesim2 and migrate livesim to livesim2 during Aug-Oct 2023. For more details on the contract, see further below.

This work is now finished and release 1.0 of livesim2 has been made. On the way, there were 4 milestones. Mor information about these is available here:

Contract scope

Consultant will provide the following services to DASH-IF:

a. Migrate the live services from Livesim1 to Livesim2
  i. Retire Livesim1 and replace it with Livesim2.
  ii. Move it from AWS to Linode.
  iii. Provide tutorial and package for easy set up of Livesim2 as a local
service.
  iv. Adding automatic TLS-certificates from Let's Encrypt
b. Develop new features and fix bugs whose priority is described by the
DASH-IF.
  i. Support for less perfect content (29.97fps and audio not matching video).
  ii. Negative test cases
  iii. Features that are missing from Livesim2 according to a prioritized
       list provided by DASH-IF.

MILESTONES and DELIVERABLES
a. No milestones are defined upfront, as the work is expected to be
continuously ongoing.
b. With each sprint, the DASH-IF and Consultant will agree on what are the
priority issues that the DASH-IF would like addressed.
