PROBLEM: Battleships

A number of battleships are situated in an area of the ocean. This area, which is rectangular, has come under attack with missiles being fired at the battleships.

Each battleship's position and location is represented by a combination of x and y co-ordinates, its length and a letter representing one of the four cardinal compass points. The ocean area is divided up into a grid to simplify location. An example position might be A, 0, 0, 2, N, which means that battleship A is in the bottom left corner, occupies 2 grid positions and is facing North, so it occupies 0,0 and 0,1.

In order to attack the battleships, a series of shots are fired, each specified by a x and y coordinate.

If a shot is made to a position occupied by a battleship, this is considered a hit, otherwise a miss. In order to sink a battleship, all of the grid positions occupied by the battleship must be hit.

INPUT: The first line of input is the upper-right coordinates of the ocean area, the lower-left coordinates are assumed to be 0,0.

The second line of input is the number of battleships (x), which is then followed by x lines of input giving each battleship's position in turn.

Battleship positions are made up of a letter, three integers and a letter separated by spaces, corresponding to its name, the x and y co-ordinates, the length and the battleship's orientation.

The rest of the input is information pertaining to the shots being fired at the battleships.

Each shot is made up of two integers , corresponding to the x and y co-ordinates.

OUTPUT: The output for each battleship should be its condition, whether it has been sunk, been partially hit, or survived.

Test Scenario 1:

Expected output: A - Sunk

Test Scenario 2:

Expected output: A - 1 of 2 Hit B - 2 of 3 Hit

Test Scenario 3:

Input: 6 6 3 A 3 1 2 E B 0 0 3 N C 0 4 1 W 0 0 3 0 3 1 0 2

Expected output: A - 1 of 2 Hit B - 2 of 3 Hit C - Survived

SUBMISSION: Your solution should be written using Java 6 and should depend on no external libraries other than JUnit and Mockito. When run, the main class should accept a file path as an input argument. The file will consist of one test scenario. The output should be a file named results-TIMESTAMP.txt
