Error message related to converting a WAV file to MP3

Hello,

I am contacting you because I suddenly encountered an issue where WAV files can no longer be converted to MP3. After testing several cases, I found that WAV files can still be converted to FLAC, but not to MP3, OGG, or APE.

The last time I used FlicFlac was on November 17th, and at that time, I confirmed that WAV files could be converted to MP3 regardless of the file name language or file path. However, when I tried converting WAV files to MP3 today using FlicFlac, the following error message appeared.

Reinstalling FlicFlac did not resolve the issue.
If you know how to fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate your help.

+Even if I rename the original file to something simple like 1.wav or a.wav, it still does not convert. Previously, it was able to convert files regardless of the language used in the file name.

Well, by process of elimination, it can either be the path (not only the filename) to your file - if it contains non English characters, it may fail, or the wav itself.

1. Try setting "DebugMode =1" in the FlicFlac.ini file, and see what fails.
2. Try with other wav files to confirm that this particular file is the issue.

It seems that the issue is with the WAV file itself. I downloaded a sample WAV file from the internet, and it was converted to MP3 without any problems. I’m not sure why only this specific file cannot be converted to MP3, but since it can be converted to FLAC, I will just use the FLAC version.

If you have mediainfo, you can see what is different about this wav - maybe it is not supported by the lame.exe version shipped with FlicFlac.
