1. Set `1.1.1.1` as your secondary DNS
1. You might need to NoSSL patch your game at this point, depending on the game

### Setting up the RiiConnect24 DNS Server
Follow the guide below in the case that your ISP blocks custom DNS servers. This is typically indicated by the game continuing to display error code `20110`, despite having the correct DNS values entered.
- Before following this, verify that your DS has no saved network configurations that are not setup to connect to an alternative service, and verify that your DNS settings are correct

- This method only supports the Wiimmfi servers. If you want to connect to different custom servers, you will need to create your own fork of the application
- This method requires your PC to be connected to the same network as your DS, and your PC must be running the server while you are playing online
- If you are unable to do this, you may need to manually patch your DS ROMs

Simply follow the instructions for your platform in the [RiiConnect24 DNS Server README](https://github.com/RiiConnect24/DNS-Server#readme). From there, you should be able to connect to Wiimmfi from your DS.

### Manually patching your DS ROMs
Follow the guide below in case your ISP blocks custom DNS servers, otherwise it is *strongly* recommended to follow the guide above.
Follow the guide below in case your ISP blocks custom DNS servers, *and* you are unable to use the RiiConnect24 DNS Server. Otherwise, it is *strongly* recommended to follow one of the guides above.

- This method requires your console to be able to run DS ROMs via an SD card, through either a flashcard on any DS model, or a modded DSi or 3DS with [**TW**i**L**ight Menu++](twilightmenu) or [nds-bootstrap forwarders](forwarders)
- Users of GNU/Linux and macOS can follow very similar instructions, but will have to use Mono
- WfcPatcher currently doesn't support DSiWare
