Where's the kiwix link?

Is a zim file on kiwix library? If so, could someone please share a link?

I see zim instructions in the readme. But I'd like to just install to kiwix, if possible.

Please and thank you. If the .zim is available, we an find another way to share -- let me know if help is needed to get it added to kiwix library and I can maybe see what I can do.

I'm not actually sure what zim or kiwix are. Can you have a go at creating the right zim file? I'm happy to answer questions that might help that. @u35253

Sure, I'll be glad to try. I will plan to report back here.

For background: Zim is a common file format for distributing snapshot-archives of large websites in a way that they can be browsed, searched, and read offline/locally. (For examples: Wikipedia, Project Gutenberg, and Stack Overflow are all available as Zim files that people make, e.g. for standalone use on smartphones and computers.) And, Kiwix is a client application for downloading, opening, searching, and reading said Zim files.

A ~9GB Zim file was built basically following the README instructions and "works" for browsing and searching within Kiwix.

What I wonder is, once a search reveals an item ID of interest, how to go to that page? I'm not sure how to get those as links or how to go to a specific URL in the Zim within Kiwix.

To update here, I did manage to modify the results in the query page so that the individual item IDs returned link to their item pages, thus solving the problem of navigating to the results from within Kiwix (since there is no address bar in Kiwix).

I'll have to rebuild the Zim file with the updated HTML file. I'll plan to do that, since creates the minimum really usable ZIM output IMO, then share it here.

A good place to start for Kiwix in general is https://kiwix.org where there is an overview, apps, and library.
