I experience this regularly, very annoying... Sometimes it's just the Windows' standard "the application stopped working" window, sometimes dozens of error dialogues pop-up before the crash.
same happened to me with 6.0.0 and 5.8.0 while query log window open and active
Count always different.@TheManFromDelmote @kamilmirza @rkwk @rlesch OS Version? .NET Version? :)
win10 x64 v1809
.NET v4.7 (with 2 and 3)had another one with freshly installed v0.6.0
2018-11-27 20_56_19_Error.log- Had issues previously. Did a test today have had log open for 3 hours just now with 1536 records and it hasn't crashed yet. Currently running Win10 x64 1809 simplednscrypt 0.6.0 net 4.7.03190 3.5.30729.4926 3.0.30729.4926 2.0.50727.4927 All good for now…On November 27, 2018 3:53:02 PM UTC, Christian Hermann ***@***.***> wrote: @TheManFromDelmote @kamilmirza @rkwk @rlesch OS Version? .NET Version? :) -- You are receiving this because you were mentioned. - net 4.7.2 (version 4.7.0.3062 release dword 461814)
i can't reproduce the error currently :(

next crash (with 6.0.1 preview) needed > 5k entries in the Query.log window, so seems tedious to wait for a random one.
somehow (just gutfeeling) all the crashes occured when i had cloudflare as only host selected. but tbh i cant see any causual link there. could it be triggered by a malformed response or a timing issue? (though that should be handled all by the service and not the gui)
only other idea, that it could happen due to small load spikes (on cpu and'/or io) caused by eg browser on pageloading on weaker systems? so the log access is delayed etc.?
updated to 0.6.1
no crash at all after an hour, 500+ entries
on older versions, was facing crash after few entries within 1 or 2 minutes@kamilmirza that doesnt mean much, see my comment above. it still seems to crash.
Question: do you use it on a fast pc or rather a slow one?@rlesch yes it is on a fast pc (with SSD)
opened ~100 bookmarks with no issues, at once@rlesch can you test with 0.6.2 again please? :)
Reacted by rlesch@rlesch can you test with 0.6.2 again please? :)
installing 6.0.2 right now. then well see :) * pressing thumbs *
(ot how to escape formatchars?)
@bitbeans sadly mixed news:
During normal operation, it kept stable so far. But during testing what included alot of configuration changes and start/stopping the service, the Gui crashed 2x with the same error as above during active query logging. While crashing, Desktop gets (most of the times) spammed with error-windows.
Somehow the construct doesnt feel robust yet in the way, that whatever causes the error, it shoudnt crash the whole gui. If its 'just' logging related the application should be able to gracefully recover from such error by some exeption handling . (just speaking from the amateurs view)
p.s dont want to open a new issue for it, since its about the query log and minor impact:
its only possible to select one entry a time to add to the blocklist (afaik)
ctrl/shift click doesnt allow adding multiple entries. but would be very convenient if they did.
Below are 2 examples when the GUI crash occurs, which happens almost each and everytime i view the Query Log.
2018-07-23 01_08_09_Error.log
2018-07-27 01_58_46_Error.log
Basically the same apart from the count numbers differing.
