This document outlines local content standards for non-MARC metadata created by Iowa State University Library for the description of digital objects. These guidelines instruct metadata creators how to input information into the metadata elements defined by the library's metadata application profiles, including the library's Digital Collections in CollectionBuilder MAP.

Iowa State maintains the guidelines online in a private wiki. This document represents the version exported in December 2025.
