Description
Even if having the chance to hear great talks, and enjoy each other's company is reason enough for a conference, it might benefit our participants - especially people new to the scene - to have a matchmaking platform at DINAcon. For the past couple of years our team used a conference app (the details of which escape me) where I believe it was possible to contact fellow participants. Perhaps eventfrog has some recommendations in this area.
To give another example, our neighbours at Startupdays use such an event networking platform:
B2match enables the organization and hosting of in-person, virtual, or hybrid events and communities. It offers a comprehensive event management software for organizing inspiring and engaging events. B2match offers various features, including AI-powered profile recommenders, personalized agenda builders, mobile event apps, and check-in apps. It also offers an online platform for reaching a global audience and a fully integrated video meeting solution for virtual events. Hybrid events combine the excitement of in-person events with the global reach of virtual events, allowing for easy event setup and AI-driven, intuitive matchmaking and meeting management. The platform also features rich content that creates opportunities, AI-driven matchmaking, and simple B2B meeting features. B2match's mobile app offers easy access to the full event agenda, participants, and company lists, flexible meeting management, and real-time messaging. Since 2013, B2match has hosted over 260,000 B2B meetings and facilitated over 8,000 events.
The only open source alternatives I know of are:
- VSIS ConfTool
- Open Conference Systems (retired)
