Background

Several updates to Observation Selector appearance and functionality:

  • Uses React Query to fetch metadata for various selectors
  • Added new API endpoint to get available date range of observations
  • Disables platform and depth filter selectors when not toggled on
  • Fix "Any" meta key option that was returning empty arrays
  • Adjusts stylesheets to match other recent changes and improve UI consistency.

Checks

  • I ran unit tests.
  • I've tested the relevant changes from a user POV.
  • I've formatted my Python code using black ..
