Summary

  • At p=19, beta0=-1/2, bandwidth 2, and t_i=i, (1-19^{-40})^{19^{42}} < exp(-361).
  • The error identity P - H^{-1} = -Q^J H^{-1} and this section's bounds ||Q||_2 < 1-19^{-40} and ||H^{-1}||_2 < 319/100 put the error strictly below (319/100) exp(-361), hence below 19^{10} exp(-361).
  • The coarser majorant 19^{20}(1226/625) r^J is strictly above that threshold. No new kappa is claimed. The selected record is unchanged. This is one normalized section, and Q is not formed.

Test plan

  • python3.12 -I -B research/gaussian-origin-q-tail/verify.py
  • python3.12 -B scripts/research_package.py --package research/gaussian-origin-q-tail
  • Maintainer replay of the registered package
