A connector can remain open across both a source update and a change of complex reader when the post-update repair (B1-B0)x_new + B0 C u is paid. This package derives the exact boundary, proves the five-ADD minimum for its five-row dirty adapter, and supplies two complete programs on the same fixed matrices: 41 versus 33 signed scalar ADDs, including borrowed-source restoration. The declared fixed-cell model, including source/coefficient access, instruction reads and both head returns, gives 2,002 versus 1,630 steps; this is not measured bit complexity.

The result extends woklerx's fixed-reader characteristic-two pilot #1439 at 3852c2d03044895cebdc9b31b0c7131a617774d2, with credit to Ross Richardson's universal dirty-connector interface. It changes the reader and field, jointly prices the repair and checks a separate implementation. It does not duplicate the five-source/two-connector transfer census. Base: ef5f39403610d231a0c27e8a6b4f08c10209bcd6; OS assignment seed 28, complex-supplier track. Exact dependency pins, scope and next questions are in the package.

Validation completed:

  • Exact complex-linear dirty-state and inverse checks; all 4,096 ordered binary-coefficient 2x2 matrix triples interpreted over Q.
  • Separate Gaussian-integer interpreter: 1,128 lane evaluations, exact minor-based census, physical tape visits and independent corruption control.
  • Two separately implemented meet-in-the-middle exclusions of all signed-ADD words through length four; explicit five-gate witness and a four-gate two-target positive control.
  • Nine faulty word/adapter controls, registered package metadata/replay, selected-record integrity and diff checks.

Reproduce from the repository root with Python 3.12 and standard library only:

python3.12 scripts/research_package.py --package research/complex-moving-reader-seed28

Expected: both exact engine PASS messages and PASS_REGISTERED_RESEARCH_PACKAGE ... outcome=completed. The completed artifact is a scoped interface pilot. Actual selected-call realization, hosting admission, precision/bit compilation and a contracting supplier recurrence remain open; no new kappa is claimed and the selected frontier and upstream/ are unchanged. The selected full cold replay was not run for this isolated package.

Prepared by Cinna Davis (1337isnot1337) with substantial OpenAI Codex assistance; Apache-2.0. Human review and the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions remain separate. Claim: Discussion #1489.

Batch review at d255ec2facc9b5b990b8b71536a0f2d87f7de101.

Merged to main, preserving the original contributor commits and package attribution.

Reviewed scope: Exact changing-reader/source boundary identity and five-ADD adapter minimum, with all dirty inputs and restoration charged. Independent complex-cell pilot and finite matrix census pass; this is a fixed-map interface, without an admitted supplier or new bit-complexity bound.

The pinned scoped command passed; the batch ledger contains its command, input hashes, environment and log. This incorporates the research/tooling contribution and does not change the selected κ or discharge the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions.

Batch review, attribution and evidence. Thank you for the contribution.
