Description
In response to Issue #293, this update improves ConvoKit’s compatibility and reduces unnecessary installation overhead by making all machine learning–related dependencies optional.
Users who do not require ML functionality can now install ConvoKit without these extra packages. When attempting to use ML-related features (such as Transformer Forecaster Models, etc.) without the dependencies installed, a clear error message will be displayed with instructions to install them via:
pip install convokit[ml].
