Remediation record — August 2026

Problem

The Docker builder omitted README.md while building the package. That could leave the installed distribution without the README-based long description defined by project metadata.

PR #15 adds README.md to the Docker build inputs and adds a CI step that inspects installed logsight-ai metadata.

Verification status

The new CI check currently confirms Requires-Python and Description-Content-Type. Those fields can be derived without proving that the README body was packaged, so review feedback correctly identifies the check as insufficient to demonstrate the original failure is prevented.

Required follow-up

• Assert that the installed package description contains a stable, known README passage.
• Re-run the PR checks after that regression assertion is added.
• Merge only after the container build and installed-package check demonstrate the intended metadata content.

This issue records the engineering state without treating the partial check as a completed remediation.
