Annoyingly, `cabal check` will reject your `.cabal` file if it enabled `-fprof-top-auto`, instead suggesting `-fprof-top-exported` as a blessed alternative. I don't quite agree with this suggestion, but it is the most direct way to make Hackage accept these `.cabal` files.
