IncrementSession Crash

Hi there we are experiencing an intermittent crash inside the SDK. It happens when trying to access the sessionID: constructorIO.sessionID

Any ideas what might cause this?

Hi @chriskilpin thanks for raising this issue. My initial hunch is if it might be a permissions-issue.

Would you be able to share a little bit more on the context of when the crash occurs and how we might be able to reproduce it locally? A code snippet or a snapshot of the error logs would go a long way to helping us diagnose the issue.

Hi @Mudaafi The Crash is intermittent and happens when trying to access constructorIO.sessionID from a background thread created by an async / await Task. Is it safe to call this from a background thread?

It should be, assuming that the client is fully instantiated on the main thread and that the reference is maintained for use on the background thread. I wonder if that reference gets released somehow before the background thread runs til completion 🤔

Hi @Mudaafi I think I have narrowed this down. It happens when I leave the simulator open on my laptop for an extended period of time then come back to the app. So I was working yesterday left the app running then opened my laptop this morning and experienced the crash.
