Users sometimes get signed in as other users

This is an existing issue that has been discussed in Slack a fair bit, but it would be good to have it as an actual issue here as well.

Summary of the details i remember:
- There doesnt seem to be any identifiable pattern of what causes this to happen
- Signing out and back in fixes it
- There doesnt seem to be any pattern of who the user appears to be signed in as
