Also works very well on EC2

Just installed an instance on AWS EC2 using this page to install the LAMP stack http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/install-LAMP.html

All I had to do was to add the Multiviews options in httpd.conf, and change the username/group
Created the symbolic link in /var/www/html, and eureka!
