Hi @feizhiliu! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the ComfyUI_frontend team.

This bug—where random seed values and other subgraph inputs fail to persist or reload correctly after converting subgraphs—is a known and actively tracked issue in ComfyUI Frontend. Maintainers have acknowledged the problem, and it affects not just seeds but also other float and widget inputs, especially in nested or converted subgraphs. The root cause is in how input/widget metadata is serialized and deserialized during save/load and subgraph conversion. There is no official fix or ETA yet, but the issue is under investigation and tracked in several open issues (example, related, more, more).

Workarounds: avoid exporting subgraphs as blueprints if they have float/widget inputs; instead, save as a workflow and manually move the file if needed. If you encounter broken inputs, you can sometimes repair them by editing the workflow or subgraph JSON, or by rebuilding the subgraph from scratch. Manual repair is currently the main option until a robust fix is released.

Maintainers are aware and working on improvements, but there is no published timeline for a fix yet. Keeping your frontend updated and watching for new bugfixes is recommended.
